Look at it another way: If young, underage teen girls could pose nude in Penthouse / Playboy type poses with legal impunity, where are such publications? The demand would seem to be huge. While those might not have resulted in convictions, I think an underage person posed as they do in Penthouse probably would. In one case a prosecutor threatened a girl who was photographed from the waste up wearing a bra and therefore no more exposed than she would be at the beach. Let us not forget that the Supremes upheld the Knox conviction which, as I recall, involved video of fully clothed little children, not doing anything particularly erotic but the camera was zoomed into their (fully covered) “naughty” areas.Īnd recent issues where young people were threatened with CP prosecution for “sexting” which I think mostly involves just standing in front of a mirror. She said, “No I don’t, I only have a friend.I am aware of the definition and as I have not seen the images in question, I think it can be presumed that someone posing for Penthouse would be posed in some suggestive / erotic way. Then when I asked, “Do you have a man?” she tried to pretend. I said, “How do you like the show?” She said, “I was very amused.” I started throwing bass, she started throwing back mid-range, but when I sprung the question she acted kind of strange. I took a couple of flicks and she was enthused. I was walking through the crowd and guess who I met? I whispered in her ear, “Come to the picture booth so I can ask you some questions to see if you are a hundred proof.” I asked her her name, she said blah-blah-blah. I just got offstage dripping, pouring with sweat. The way that I met her was on tour at a concert. Have you ever met a girl that you tried to date, but a year to make love she wanted you to wait? Let me tell you a story of my situation, I was talking to this girl from the U.S. Langland, thank you very much for your insightful comment. (hot, fat, heavy teardrops plopping onto computer screen)ĭear Mr. FEAR that you will lose that magazine, the first time you saw her, the only copy you ever owned of that holiest of all documents and instead you find just a dented up copy of a stupid kiddie comic you put only your WHOLE HEART AND CREATIVE SOUL INTO BUT NOBODY GAVE A SHIT and not even in near mint condition either, not like if even then it would have any, like, Overstreet value if that’s even a GODDAMN THING ANYMORE AH FUCK, AH FUCK, F-F-FUCK-K Fear that she will never respond ONCE to any of your letters. Fear that one day you will see a beautiful young woman (you had no idea how young – she was only 16, but nobody knew) in a magazine and fall instantly and eternally in love with her and then write her letters, one every year on her birthday, hoping she will leave her successful life to be with you. (UPDATE so I did scan some pages, see below. When I have time mind you, I’m kind of totally fucking busy. What a piece of shit! The ads are funny though, I’ll scan some and add them here. So here you go, Knockers out there – one of the few issues I can find. Since I mentioned in a recent post, in passing, that we used to be a print publication, many an astute reader has been pestering me about getting their hands on something from this legendary era. You can imagine my delight/disappointment when, while desperately tearing apart the attic in search of my September 1984 issue of Penthouse, the one with Traci Lords, I instead came across this little gem of pre-history. If you don't like the monthly Payment figure, the Total paid number or the cost of loan, you can adjust them and the calculator will automatically recalculate what the other figures need to be to achieve this. So, how do you calculate your monthly RV loan payments, the total amount you'll eventually pay before the RV is entirely yours, and the cost of your loan? All you need to do is to enter the first four values.
MP4 file much, much faster (about 10 seconds total) than VLC - which seemed to work through the video in real time. However, ClipGrab stripped the audio and created a finished. I speculate wildly that the 19kB discrepancy in file size is container-related. So one theory is that VLC and ClipGrab are both right, but both picked a different container for the Opus codec audio. I looked Opus up, and it's a codec that can be contained by. On the YouTube site itself, under "stats for nerds", it says the audio codec is "opus". So I did "convert / save" as described by Pushedbutton, and selected "Ogg Vorbis" as the format. Using VLC said the audio codec was "Vorbis Audio (vorb)". I saved it as "Original (audio only)" using ClipGrab. I think you can use Audacity to do it this way on Windows. Some of you might like the sound of MP3 (even 320k sounds good), but this is just a bit of heads up for anyone doing this sort of thing. Not saying sampling is bad, but converting to a lower grade signal file first might cause problems later. What might be a good exercise is, if you're 'lifting' sounds for creative purposes, why not recreate the sound where possible (look up Nu:Tone on FutureMusic iwrc, he reconstructs a riff to get the sound character then makes his own melody, copyright free ). It's a shame HD-AAC isn't used more for this type of thing. If you are using the audio for track sampling and comping / sound design etc, just be aware there is some noise in there, each track you have which is MP3 based will add noise (purely a by-product of the MP3). Quality at the Youtube stage is also subjective because you don't know how many passes the process has gone through in the first place. going back to the Youtube>MP3 thing, if possible record the Youtube clip to WAV directly instead of converting to MP3 to retain as much quality as possible. WAV to WAV recording doesn't have this issue (unless you're doing different bit depth or sample rate). This is why WAVs / AIFs are best because really they are like ADAT (perfect reconstruction input and output). MP3 rendering to MP3 is basically the same effect (just digital method of 'tape-to-tape'). Our analogy was that the MP3 is technically a 'digital cassette tape', where first pass you'll get a little tape hiss due to the medium plus the rest of the content, then copy that tape to another you'll end up with the master tape being clean and second tape being subject to more 'hiss', third pass (recoridng tape 2) gets noisy again. One of our friends (Miss Represent, UK DnB dj) brought this subject up of MP3 mixes and rendering to Wav or to MP3 - she found that the rendered MP3 mix sounded worse that the WAV would, purely down to the double file compression. If you're doing just the one pass then fine but if you plan on using in a mix for some reason as is and then bounce down to WAV then MP3, you're constantly degrading the signal and raising noise level due to the compression algorithm in the MP3 codecs. Why? because surprisingly if you rip a compressed format (think Youtube included) such as a Youtube MP4 to MP3 conversion, you're actually degrading the MP3 from the off. record to WAV directly via loopback software. It’s very easy for pork chops to be overcooked and dry. It’s best to check the pork at 10 minutes with a meat thermometer to see if it’s done. The cooking time varies based on the thickness and cut of the pork and the air fryer model. You can easily whip up this simple and tasty pork chop recipe on a weeknight as it only takes 10-12 minutes cook time. Woody then takes Slinky's paw and then all of them stare in horror at the incinerator. Woody reaches for Buzz's hand and takes it. Woody is then seen climbing and then turns to see Buzz who offers his hand. Potato Head, who is grazing hands with Mrs. Slinky takes Hamm's paw whom then takes Rex's hand. Jessie then sees Bullseye panicking and grabs his hoove to stop him panicking. (Buzz looks at Jessie and then takes her hand and both look at each other. (The incinerator is still burning flames) (Rex yells as he and the other toys slip) (Woody gasps and starts to climb as do the others) (The toys land heavily and then stare in horror at the incinerator) (The toys get pushed into the incinerator) Lotso: (pulling an evil look) Where's your kid now, Sheriff?! (He runs off in the opposite direction) (Lotso gets to the top and is about to press the button, but then looks at the toys in anger) (As Lotso climbs, the toys are getting so close to falling into the incinerator) (Woody and Buzz run over and push Lotso's feet) (The scene scrolls forward until it stops at the incinerator and then cuts back to the toys) (The other toys giggle as a birds eye view shows them on the treadmill and then the scene cuts back to them) (Lotso, Buzz and Woody drop down to join the other toys) The most impressive thing about “Toy Story 3” – and this is a movie with many impressive things – is how familiar it feels.Woody: We're all in this together. The film arrives eleven years after “Toy Story 2,” and in that time, Pixar has, for lack of a better term, grown up. The animation studio’s first three features were impressive indeed, yet their next seven showed the company maturing beyond even its most loyal fans’ expectations. They started the decade with “Monsters, Inc.” and ended it with “Up.” Both are modern classics in every way, but the latter is far more rich in its artistic ambitions. It’s like watching the Beatles go from “Eight Days a Week” to “A Day in the Life.”Īnd yet “Toy Story 3” doesn’t come across as out of place with the previous adventures of Woody and Buzz. There’s no awkward disconnect that comes with, say, seeing John McClane saddle up after a lengthy absence, no mismatched tone that leaves the newcomer as a franchise odd man out. Yes, this sequel is made with the wisdom and storytelling bravery that fueled “WALL-E” and “Up,” and yes, this sequel reveals a completely different and completely better Pixar than we saw in the late 1990s. But this is a film made by people so in tune with the characters and their world that it doesn’t skip a single beat it feels like it could just as well have been released just a few months after “Toy Story 2.” Walking into “Toy Story 3” feels like an overdue reunion with an old friend. It’s comfortable, it’s warm, it’s wonderful. Pixar’s team here – director Lee Unkrich and screenwriter Michael Arndt, with story credit to Unkrich, John Lasseter, and Andrew Stanton – embrace the eleven-year gap, not only to provide them with a plot, but to turn the very notion of growing up into its theme. The story finds Andy (voiced by John Morris, who, in a nice touch, also voiced Andy in the previous “Toy Story” films, one of several young actors reprising their childhood roles) heading off to college, fueling a screenplay filled with characters who must learn to let go of the past. Warning: spoilers throughout rest of review. One of the earliest online reactions from viewers was a collective admission of guilt over “abandoning” their childhood toys. But that ultimately goes against the point: Andy struggles with the idea of leaving his toys behind and only finds real peace once he gives them away – all of them, including his beloved Woody. The film makes a point out of Andy’s reluctance sometimes it’s obvious (he flinches, almost like a child yelling “mine!”, when young Bonnie first reaches for the cowboy), sometimes it’s less so (he defensively calls his toys “junk” yet remains bothered at the thought of his sister even touching them). The script is specific in making the final decision Andy’s alone. Not shove them in the attic, not take them to college, not have them accidentally hauled off to day care and nearly destroyed at the landfill. Woody (Tom Hanks) calls his fellow toys “selfish” when they decide to stay at Sunnyside Day Care instead of journey back home where they can wait in the attic, patiently, for Andy to someday decide he needs them again. But Andy keeping them would also be selfish, especially when there are sweet, imaginative children eager to offer them a new place to play. Andy’s mom (Laurie Metcalf) can’t believe her son’s shipping off to college. Buzz (Tim Allen) and the gang struggle to remain relevant, fearing a life in the attic. |
